OVERVIEW & OBJECTIVES

The Academic Master in Fashion Styling, coordinated by Cristiana Rivellino Santella, is aimed at graduates and/or professionals who wish to gain advanced training in the fashion industry, with a particular focus on image building, visual storytelling, and the creative design of editorials and fashion campaigns. The course provides cultural, technical, and design tools to understand and interpret the dynamics of contemporary styling, addressing the needs of a constantly evolving industry.

The Academic Master in Fashion Styling aims to train highly qualified professionals capable of working in various areas of fashion, with particular emphasis on creating iconic images and providing aesthetic direction for editorial and commercial projects. Students will develop a personal visual language, acquiring both theoretical and practical tools to work in the creative industry with an innovative and strategic vision.

Upon completing the Academic Master in Fashion Styling, graduates will be able to design and execute styling for editorial shoots, advertising campaigns, fashion shows, and events, including those for celebrities. They will be able to interpret and anticipate fashion trends to build images that align with a brand’s identity, curate the creative and visual direction of projects for magazines, digital media, and social platforms, collaborate with photographers, designers, art directors, and other professionals to develop innovative visual content, and use digital tools for graphic design and visual storytelling.

The Master is aimed at Graduates and to those who want to complete and / or deepen their cultural and professional training in the entertainment sector.

To be eligible for the course, students must have:

  • Bachelor Degree or Bachelor of Arts related to the course of study of the Master
  • Bachelor Degree or Bachelor of Arts different from  the above mentioned and not related to the study path of the Master, upon evaluation of the Academic Directorship on the eligibility of the application
  • Professionals with proven experience in the field and students holding a specialization or non-academic study titles related to the study path, upon evaluation of the Academic Directorship on the eligibility of the application

In order to keep the quality of the study experience high, the Academic Master in Fashion Styling is limited. To access it, it is necessary to pass an admission process based on the submission of:

  • curriculum
  • motivational letter
  • admission interview with the director of education

The Master’s program is designed to offer an interdisciplinary perspective that integrates a cultural and historical approach, with modules dedicated to the history of fashion, the sociology of image, and contemporary trends, to understand stylistic evolution and its social impact; technological and digital tools, including video and graphic design, to explore the new frontiers of visual creation and communication; practical and creative skills such as fashion styling, fashion filmmaking, and photography, to provide concrete training in the editorial, advertising, and digital sectors; and storytelling and art direction, with a focus on image narration through fashion editorials, brand identity, and omnichannel strategies.

The research internship is carried out by the students as a part of the curriculum and carries academic credits and can be undertaken with companies located throughout the national territory.
