A great honor to welcome Carolina Cucinelli, Co-President and Co-Creative Director Brunello Cucinelli, at our Campus in Rome, for a special talk with our students moderated by Barbara Trebitsch, our Director of Education.
Through the narrative of the history and key principles of the Maison, Carolina Cucinelli, the second generation of the historic brand based in Solomeo, shared her business experience and professional journey with the students. Important topics such as high craftsmanship and sustainability were addressed, highlighting the relevance of social, economic, and environmental themes for the family business. Furthermore, the impact of new technologies on various business areas was explored, delving into the vision for the future of fashion and the Maison.
The discussion also focused on the skills and soft skills sought by Cucinelli in new talents, emphasizing the importance of specific qualities to face the challenges of the industry.
Brunello Cucinelli, founded by the eponymous entrepreneur known for producing high-quality cashmere knitwear, has its roots in the medieval village of Solomeo and represents today one of the main international realities of Made in Italy in the luxury sector, with a significant social, cultural, and educational impact.
“It has been a great honor for me to be invited to one of the major academic institutions in the field of fashion. I am happy to have shared my point of view with the students, but most importantly, grateful to have absorbed theirs. I firmly believe that the younger generations are a precious resource for the future of fashion and businesses. We should constantly invest in their education, but above all, we should be able to give voice to their ideas. I sincerely thank the President of the Academy, Lupo Lanzara, and all the students for this special opportunity.” – Carolina Cucinelli, Co-President and Co-Creative Director Brunello Cucinelli
“We are infinitely grateful to Carolina for having dedicated her time to our students, sharing her vision and experience. Brunello Cucinelli is a globally recognized excellence and it embodies values which are deeply aligned with those that we live for at ACM. Thank you Carolina, we really look forward to seeing you soon back in Rome or in Milan” – Lupo Lanzara, Chariman Accademia Costume & Moda
