ACM x Uniqlo: A Visual Journey Through Rome on T-Shirts Designed by ACM Alumni

A new creative collaboration comes to life in the heart of Rome: born from the synergy between Accademia Costume & ModaBla Studio, and Uniqlo, a collection of on-demand t-shirts will be available over the next three months, designed by Valerio Forleo and Alessio Mussati, alumni of the BA in Costume & Fashion.

The two designers reinterpret the identity of the ACM two Roman campuses – the Historic Campus and the new one at Esquilino District – through a series of original artworks that celebrate the dialogue between heritage and modernity. These exclusive t-shirts, which can be printed on demand directly at the Uniqlo store on Via del Corso, visually narrate the evolution of the institution and its deep-rooted connection to the city of Rome.

The project is curated by Maddalena Salerno, lecturer of the BA in Fashion Editor, Styling & Communication and co-founder of Bla Studio, a creative platform that explores emerging visual languages in fashion and communication.

Inside the store, a dedicated corner enhances the experience with symbolic objects from the history of Accademia Costume & Moda, including the original sketch by Rosana Pistolese, founder of ACM and a key figure in Italian fashion, who viewed clothing as a powerful cultural and communicative language.

Completing the installation is the mannequin styling, curated by fellow alumni of the 3YR BA in Fashion Editor, Styling & Communication students: Andrea Di SpartiGiulia Dolabelli, and Elena Ceccaroni. Their five curated looks weave together styles, colour palettes, and references to the Eternal City, reimagining the aesthetic bond between Rome and its rich stylistic identity.

This initiative not only showcases the creativity of ACM Alumni, but also reinforces the Institute’s commitment to shaping fashion professionals who can build bridges between art, history, and innovation.
