Accademia Costume & Moda has officially inaugurated its “new” headquarter in Milan, Via Fogazzaro 23, on September 14, 2022.
The vision of the founder – fashion designer, costume designer, journalist and academic Rosana Pistolese, – was to train and support the cultural heritage of the Italian Fashion and Costume industries with a unique and innovative approach, creating a constant interaction between these two fields. This DNA has been preserved and constantly regenerated with care by the generations that have managed the Academy, first and foremost by Fiamma Lanzara, President aeternum, to whom the new campus is dedicated. A consistent balance between research, culture, design, product, and close collaboration with the most important players in this sector have led the Costume & Fashion Academy to become an international point of reference in education.
The new campus is spread over an area of 1200 square meters and was started de facto in March 2021, despite the Covid and is now available to almost 100 students for the areas of Communication and Management of Fashion and Entertainment.
To celebrate this important initiative and move even closer to the Milanese community, on Sept. 14, 2022, Accademia Costume & Moda will open the doors of its new facility on Via Fogazzaro to citizens, students, young people and in general to anyone interested in learning more about what it means to study in a fashion school and to deal with professionals who can orient, illustrate, share and present all the challenges and possible satisfactions of operating within the country’s second largest industrial sector, of which Milan and Lombardy are the Capitals.
For the occasion, a wide and articulated schedule has been created, inclusive of talks, workshops and moments of discussion with some of the most authoritative voices of the Italian fashion system and publishing, and culminating in the Fashion Show of looks created in collaboration with more than 50 companies by the students of the Master in Creative Knitwear Design – directed by Sonia Veroni, Administrator of Modateca Deanna with which the course is in partnership. The invitation-only fashion show will also be presented at 7 p.m.
As a proof of the academic institution’s leadership in the fashion context and constant synergies with key players in the sector, the event has the patronage of Regione Lombardia, of the City of Milan, Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana, Confindustria Moda, Sistema Moda Italia, UNIC and Lineapelle, Pitti Immagine and AltaRoma.
