At our Milan campus, our Master in Fashion Styling students took part in a special editorial project in collaboration with Coez, experiencing an immersive journey through styling, image-making and contemporary music.
Led by Project Leader Cristiana Rivellino Santella, this Industry Project, entitled “Image Project”, offered students the opportunity to engage directly with the dynamics of celebrity styling, exploring the relationship between artistic identity, visual storytelling and creative direction within a highly contemporary professional context.
The project was conceived with the aim of investigating the process behind the construction of an artist’s public image, analysing how fashion, music and visual communication can interact to create a coherent, authentic and recognisable narrative. During an initial phase of research and creative development, students explored Coez’s aesthetic and musical universe, studying its visual language, cultural references and identity.
To conclude the project, students produced an editorial shoot dedicated to the artist, developing styling concepts, look selection and creative direction capable of interpreting his image through a contemporary lens. The experience allowed students to gain practical insight into the role of the stylist within a creative team, engaging with the timing, requirements and real dynamics of the fashion and entertainment industries.
Particular attention was devoted to the role of styling as a narrative and identity-driven tool, capable of creating connections between image, personality and public perception. In this context, the project represented an important opportunity to reflect on the role of the contemporary stylist, increasingly involved in shaping multidisciplinary visual languages that bring together fashion, music, publishing and digital content.
Special thanks to Tommaso Biagetti, creative director and manager of the artist, and to C.P. Company for supporting the project through a selection of garments featured in the styling, contributing to the visual aesthetic of the shoot.
Experiences such as this transform creative practice into real-world experience, giving students the opportunity to collaborate directly with artists and professionals while bringing their vision to life through contemporary and multidisciplinary languages.
Finally, our heartfelt thanks go to Coez for sharing his time, energy and artistic vision with our students.
