THE HIGHLIGHTS OF 2024

As the year-end approaches, we look back with gratitude at all the things that have enriched us, particularly our community, composed of students, faculty, staff, partners, friends, and all our stakeholders, who make every day an authentic and unique experience for everyone.

THE NEW CAMPUS IN ROME

In November 2024
, we inaugurated our second campus in Rome, in the spaces of the Ex Magazzini allo Statuto (MAS), just steps from Piazza Vittorio, in the heart of the Esquilino district. This ambitious project marks an important milestone for ACM and represents a virtuous example of urban regeneration, bringing a historic building back to life as a cultural hub for fashion and design. The new campus, with 1,100 square meters of digitized classrooms and 1,000 square meters of laboratories, is designed to accommodate up to 700 students, blending tradition and innovation. The Esquilino, a multicultural neighborhood, is the ideal context to foster social and cultural growth, creating synergies among students, residents, and institutions. A restoration that has restored the building’s ancient beauty, adapting it to the modern needs of a cutting-edge school.

SCHOLASHIPS

In 2024, ACM introduced new scholarships, reinforcing the values of inclusivity and community it has always promoted. As part of the “Patto per il Lavoro” initiative by the City of Milan, twenty scholarships were awarded for the Bachelor of Arts in Fashion Management: Fashion Product System and for the Master in Fashion Sustainability & Industry Evolution. Additionally, in collaboration with Brioni, which decided to “invest in the future,” ten scholarships were granted by the company to the best student candidates for our Master in Menswear Design. These initiatives demonstrate ACM’s commitment to supporting the training of new talents in the fashion sector, promoting access to education and professional growth in an inclusive and community-oriented environment.

EXPANDED EDUCATIONAL OFFER

To promote the savoir-faire of Made in Italy, we have expanded our academic offering with new courses. In Rome, the Bachelor of Arts in Pattern Making, Tailoring, and Prototyping for Fashion and Costume has been introduced, offering essential technical and cultural training for the fashion and entertainment sectors. This course, recognized by the Ministry of University and Research (MUR), responds to the fashion system’s need to train professionals capable of creating excellent products by integrating technological and cultural skills. In collaboration with Brioni, we launched the Master in Menswear Design, a 12-month intensive program that combines theory and practice, offering students a unique educational experience thanks to the expertise of ACM and Brioni’s know-how.

THE NEW LOGO

To celebrate our 60 years of history (1964-2024), we presented our new logo, a symbol that honors our roots and paves the way for a new chapter for the future.

The new logo keeps the connection with the past alive, celebrating the magnificent history of ACM without straying from its identity. Born from the dream and passion of Rosana Pistolese as “Accademia di Costume e di Moda,” the new logo represents a reinterpretation of an illustration by René Gruau, gifted to our founder Rosana Pistolese.

This new emblem embodies our tradition and commitment to innovation, reflecting our continuous evolution in the world of fashion and costume.
