Just as the print edition of the Italian magazine is preparing to become a monthly in the second half of 2023, Hearst’s brand is also boosting its online format thanks to the entry of Italo Pantano, who takes on the role of Digital Director of harpersbazaar.it
Italo Pantano is a figure of experience in the world of digital publishing: a journalist, he has worked on the development of innovative communication strategies and in the creation of multimedia content for web platforms and social media. After obtaining the Bachelor of Art in Costume and Fashion at our Rome campus, he moved to Milan where he began working in the fashion publishing sector in 2012, in Condé Nast and Mondadori, subsequently dealing with the artistic and creative direction of commercial projects and communication campaigns, as well as the digital development of brands. His path led him to become artistic director of the media agency NSS Factory and from there to Hearst.
Daria Veledeeva, Editor in Chief of Harper’s Bazaar explains: “The inclusion of Pantano aims to strengthen the brand’s digital strategy and make it even more integrated with the other platforms of the magazine. He will work closely with managing editor Olivia Ghebreeghziabher to broaden the site’s influence and relevance in the fashion and luxury segments, to enhance the brand’s visual impact on social media and to develop the integrated digital projects area between print and digital”.
The introduction and development of digital professionalism within publishing companies and brands in the sector has led Accademia to create targeted courses to meet these new job demands, such as: the Bachelor of Arts in Fashion Editor, Styling & Communication and the Master in Fashion Communication & Art Direction.
