The Industry Project developed in collaboration with Subdued, involving our third-year BA in Fashion Editor, Styling & Communication students, continues to progress. Following the Launch Brief held at our Milan campus, the project has now entered one of its most important stages: the Mid Revision.
This moment represents a key milestone within the creative and design process, offering students the opportunity to present the development of their ideas, engage directly with the brand and receive valuable strategic feedback to refine and consolidate their creative direction ahead of the final presentation.
On this occasion, the Subdued team was welcomed at the new ACM Esquilino campus in Rome, while the Milan-based class joined the review remotely, creating a shared moment of dialogue between students, lecturers and industry professionals.
Guided by Project Leaders Fabio Corsini and Francesco Verdinelli, students presented the evolution of their concepts for Subdued, further exploring communication strategies, visual languages and activations designed to engage with new generations.
The Industry Project invites students to develop a multichannel marketing and communication campaign aligned with the brand’s values, challenging their creative, analytical and strategic skills through a real-world brief.
The working groups are developing two distinct project pathways:
– on one hand, Guerrilla Branding and offline advertising initiatives designed to create engaging urban experiences with strong viral potential;
– on the other, an international Creator Tour built around authentic storytelling and collaboration with local creators and communities.
During the Mid Revision, students had the opportunity to test the strength of their creative intuitions, assess the coherence of their concepts in relation to Subdued’s identity, and deepen their understanding of communication effectiveness, audience engagement and contemporary narrative building.
This phase of dialogue has reaffirmed the value of direct engagement with the brand as an integral part of the learning experience, enabling students to refine their proposals and gain greater awareness of the dynamics shaping today’s fashion communication landscape.
Our sincere thanks go to Arianna Zappitello, Marketing Manager, to Sonia Giorgini, Sustainability Manager, and the entire Subdued team for their support, openness and invaluable feedback shared with our students during this important stage of the project.
