BRIONI
Special Project: Interpretation of Brioni outerwear through the historical parameters of the Maison
Project Leader: Santo Costanzo con Roberto Carlologgi
Third Year of the Bachelor of Arts in Costume & Fashion a.y. 2021/2022
Special Project in collaboration with BRIONI, Norbert Stumpfl, Executive Design Director; Jonas Falk, Director Global Marketing & Communications; Ettore Marenda, Collection Coordinator.
Founded in Rome in 1945 by two visionaries, Master Tailor Nazareno Fonticoli and his business partner Gaetano Savini, Brioni quickly gained a reputation as a mecca of sartorial excellence for discerning Roman gentlemen. The collaboration between Fonticoli and Savini was a marriage of technical skills and creative entrepreneurship that defined a tradition and still drives the brand today.
The students were asked to interpret Brioni’s style with personality through the historical parameters of the outerwear: 75/45/88 and to create a menswear capsule collection that reflected the heritage of the brand.
In this project, the designer’s vision was fundamental, the interpretation had to take into consideration personal sensitivity and taste, bearing in mind that luxury is never flashy. Furthermore, one should never lose sight of the reference customer, feeling at the same time free to take the brand’s garments from the 50s, 60s or the contemporary ones perfectly represented by Brad Pitt as inspiration.
The students presented their projects Norbert Stumpfl, Executive Design Director; Jonas Falk, Director Global Marketing & Communications; Ettore Marenda, Collection Coordinator.
Congratulations guys!
Complimenti ragazzi!
