THE FACULTY OF FASHION COMMUNICATION & ART DIRECTION

In response to the new socio-economic scenario and to the need of a new interpretation of Fashion Communication, Accademia Costume & Moda has entrusted the direction of its new Master in Fashion Communication & Art Direction, based in Milan, to an eminent Scientific Committee which includes experts in the Italian and international fashion communication panorama such as Sara Sozzani Maino, Antonio Mancinelli, Sara Azzone and Barbara Trebitsch.

The Master investigates new innovative methods and communication strategies as required by the current needs of the market with the participation of highly specialized professionals in the areas of journalism and fashion communication.

SARA SOZZANI MAINO

Deputy Editor of Vogue Italia and Head of Vogue Talents, a project started in 2009 in favor to emergent designers consisting in more than just an editorial project published two times a year as supplement to Vogue Italy.

Sara Sozzani Maino participates regularly in dedicated events in search of new talents on a global scale and has been part of several international fashion contests and awards such as LVMH Prize, International Talent Support, Designer’s Nest Award, H&M Award, Berlin Fashion Film Award.

Since September 2018, she is International Brand Ambassador for the Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana (The National Chamber for Italian Fashion), in support to a series of initiatives reserved to young talents under the direction of Vogue Italy.

ANTONIO MANCINELLI

Chief Editor of Marie Claire Italia, he is a professional journalist since 1991. His experience started with the Italian newspaper Il Corriere della Sera and continued with several collaborations with magazines and newspapers, from Vogue to Panorama, from Diario to Elle, just to name but a few. He has written and presented programmes for the Italian radio(Radio Tre) and published many books among which Fashion Box that has been translated all over the world.

Mancinelli has also been nominated by the Ministry of Culture as cultural patrimony and invited to join the Fashion Commission.

A long list of catalogues of important exibitions have been written by him: among the last ones, Ha partecipato alla stesura dei cataloghi di importanti mostre: tra le ultime, Romanzo breve di moda maschile at Palazzo Pitti, Florence (2019), Italiana. L’Italia vista dalla moda at Palazzo Reale, Milan (2018), right to the retrospective on Rick Owens Subhuman Inhuman Superhuman, Triennale Milano (2017).

The faculty also includes professionals who will bring their experience in the course: Andrea Batilla, Creative Strategist and Co-Professor of History of Fashion; Elisabetta Gnecchi Ruscone, Antropologist and Antropology professor; Enrico Fasoli, Head of Digital Communication and PR Ready2Fly and professor of Project Methodology for Visual Communication; Giampero Arcese, Freelance Fashion Designer & Creative Director and professor of History of Fashion; Marco Meloni, Coordinator of Didactic Programmes of Accademia Costume & Moda and professor of Sociology; Olivier Saillard, Image and Culture Director for J.M. Weston and professor of Project Methodology for Visual Communication; Paolo Ferrarini, Researcher, Content Curator and professor of Project Methodology for Visual Communication; Riccardo Terzo, Fashion Contributor Vogue Italy and Photography professor; Sebastiano Renna, CSR Manager & Stakeholder Engagement Expert and professor of Project Management; Veronica Foschi, expert in new communication languages in urban scenarios, Art Director and professor of Computer Graphic.
