Our students from the Master in Fashion Communication & Art Direction have concluded their Final Presentation for the Industry Project developed in collaboration with Fashion Film Festival Milano, under the creative direction of Constanza Cavalli Etro.
Entitled “Deep Listening”, the project was inspired by a profound exploration of inner communication, drawing from Plato’s reflection: “Thought is the silent speech of the soul with herself” (Theaetetus). Leading and mentoring the students throughout the process were two prominent voices in fashion and visual culture: Sara Sozzani Maino and Riccardo Conti.
The objective of the Industry Project was to guide students through every phaseof fashion film creation — from initial research and concept development to scriptwriting, moodboarding, storyboarding, trailer production, and the finalshort film.
Working in teams, students developed their projects based on both primary and secondary research, while also benefiting from dedicated technical support for film production. Smartphones were permitted as a tool for shooting, encouraging flexibility and creativity.
The final outcomes were a series of compelling visual narratives — originalfashion films that blend style, storytelling, and experimentation. A powerfullearning experience that highlights the value of hands-on, project-basededucation in close collaboration with key players in the industry.
