Music Publishing is in the current scenario the center of every activity related to the discography and management chain. Without the song or songs, the entire creative process and development of a repertoire or an artistic career is impossible to exist. It is therefore important to understand who writes the songs, with what modalities and rules and, once created, how this work of ingenuity is protected, developed and monetized.

iMean Music has been on the market for 7 years and is the natural consequence of twenty years spent in the record majors of the founder and CEO Roberto Mancinelli. From the very first moments it has stood out for a strong presence in the national music industry and, above all, for having large international outlets, especially on the American market. He made his debut in 2017 in Sanremo producing the young Braschi and taking care of his musical editions. At the same time, the songs from the iMean catalog ended up in the projects of some participants of Amici and Sanremo Big. From an international point of view, the most important moment was the nomination for the Latin Grammy 2022 with its author Chiara Stroia in the Best Pop Vocal section, in the company of artists of Christina Aguilera’s stature

Industry Brief

The Project, starting from the theory, will then focus on the more practical and experimental part, through a simulation of the deposit in Siae and of the relations with the Institute itself. There will be meetings with songwriters, publishers and we will have direct testimonies in the classroom and outside by visiting a recording studio. The idea is to give the student an effective tool so that he can navigate the music business being aware of every aspect. And only through a general and specific vision of the subject will it be possible to move competently in this field and profession.
