Our students from the Master in Fashion Communication & Art Direction have just begun a new Industry Project in collaboration with The Collector, an independent biannual magazine founded in 2019 that explores the intersection of fashion, beauty, and contemporary culture. A true visual archive of micro-narratives, designed to offer a kaleidoscopic experience of fashion and beyond.
The brief requires the creation of a comprehensive project, conceived and developed based on the values and visual codes of The Collector. Students are asked to build an articulate editorial proposal, the result of an in-depth researchprocess that draws from the magazine’s six-year evolution. To support theirwork, students will be granted access to a digital archive of past issues.
Attending the project’s kick-off meeting were Andrea Bettoni (Editor in Chiefand Creative Director), Giulia Pacella (Digital Director), and Lorenzo Salmone (Producer), who shared The Collector’s editorial identity and vision with ourstudents, laying the groundwork for a stimulating and professional collaboration. The project will be led in the classroom by Antonio Mancinelli, journalist and member of ACM Scientific Committee for Communication.
This initiative marks another valuable opportunity for our students to engagewith contemporary editorial practices and to challenge their creativity, vision, and design skills within a real-world professional context.
