Accademia Costume & Moda continues to build meaningful connections between education and industry through immersive, hands-on experiences that bring students into direct contact with some of the most innovative brands on the international fashion scene. The new Industry Project for the Master in Fashion Sustainability & Industry Evolution, developed in collaboration with Save The Duck, has officially begun. A brand recognised worldwide for its contemporary, responsible and 100% animal-free approach to fashion.
To mark the launch of this exciting collaboration, the students visited the headquarters of Save The Duck, where they had the opportunity to explore the brand’s showroom and take part in the official presentation of the creative brief.
Accompanying them on this experience was Claudio Marenco Mores, Head of the Fashion Business & Product Systems Areas at Accademia Costume & Moda and Coordinator of the Master in Fashion Sustainability & Industry Evolution, who introduced students to the strategic value of this Industry Project and the importance of engaging with international companies that are redefining the future of fashion.
Students will be guided throughout the project by Tiziano Guardini, fashion designer and lecturer on the Master, who will lead the initiative as Project Leader, supporting them through a journey of research, creativity, innovation and sustainability. This first meeting was a key opportunity to step inside the heart of the company, understand its values and be inspired by its vision.
Inside the Save The Duck showroom, students were immersed in the world of the brand, discovering collections, materials and innovative solutions that represent a new way of thinking about outerwear. Meeting the company team offered a valuable moment of exchange, allowing students to gain insight into the brand’s philosophy, international identity and commitment to cruelty-free and sustainable fashion.
Throughout the visit, the DNA of Save The Duck clearly emerged: a company that combines aesthetics, performance and environmental responsibility through continuous research into recycled materials, innovative technologies and functional design. It was a concrete opportunity to understand how collections are created to respond to the needs of today while anticipating those of tomorrow.
From this first encounter comes the design challenge assigned to the students: to develop a City Collection Capsule, an urban collection conceived for a dynamic, contemporary and international target audience.
The capsule collection will respond to the needs of a new generation of city travellers—young adults aged between 20 and 40 who value quality, design and sustainability. The objective is to imagine a new concept of urban clothing, combining stylistic research, versatility and innovation, in perfect alignment with Save The Duck’s distinctive values.
The project will be developed under the guidance of Tiziano Guardini, supporting students in the creation of strong concepts and proposals capable of speaking to the contemporary market.
This collaboration with Save The Duck gives students the opportunity to tackle some of the most important issues shaping the future of fashion, developing projects that combine creativity, innovation and responsibility. Experiences like this are what shape tomorrow’s professionals, ready to respond to the demands of an ever-evolving market.
The Master in Fashion Sustainability & Industry Evolution at Accademia Costume & Moda is designed for those who want to build a career in fashion with a contemporary, international and conscious perspective.
Through lectures, workshops and collaborations with brands such as Save The Duck, the Master provides practical tools to face the new challenges of the fashion industry and become part of the change.
