Starting from the heritage and DNA of the brand, the students (from different geographical and cultural backgrounds) were invited to conduct research aimed at creating a Capsule Collection of women’s footwear and leather goods, aimed at defining new identity codes. The project development includes analysis and costs of materials, experiments on leather and the like, for a number of 5 women’s shoes and 3 women’s bags and development of the theme of small leather goods.
Born in 1956 with the creation of wicker bags, RODO has quickly become an iconic brand. The production, still curated in the factory founded in Mogliano in 1962, has integrated over time wisdom craftsmanship and research. The iconic and continuous elements, the development of innovative and increasingly sustainable materials (untreated leathers, the use of wicker), to limit the environmental impact, are some of the different codes of the Brand that represents the birth of Made in Italy. Dealing with a reality rich in history and at the same time aimed at research and innovation is a challenge full of stimuli and a privileged field of investigation for those who intend to develop their own professionalism in this sector.
