SAVE THE DUCK INDUSTRY PROJECT | MASTER IN FASHION SUSTAINABILITY & INDUSTRY EVOLUTION

After months of research, project development and ongoing dialogue with the brand, our Master in Fashion Sustainability & Industry Evolution students presented the final outcomes of the Industry Project carried out in collaboration with Save The Duck, the international company promoting an innovative and 100% animal-free vision of fashion.

The Final Presentation marked the culmination of a journey that challenged students to engage with a real-world design brief, putting into practice their creative skills, strategic thinking and understanding of sustainability as applied to contemporary fashion products.

The projects were evaluated by:
Nicolas Bargi, Founder & CEO of Save The Duck;
Silvia Mazzanti, Sustainability Manager;
Linda Riva, Fashion Designer.

The Industry Project began several months ago with a visit to the brand’s headquarters, where students had the opportunity to gain deeper insight into Save The Duck’s philosophy, its approach to material innovation and its commitment to more responsible development models. From this initial encounter emerged the project challenge: to develop a City Collection Capsule designed for a new generation of urban travellers, combining innovation, functionality and sustainability.

Guided by Tiziano Guardini, fashion designer, Master lecturer and Project Leader, students developed creative concepts capable of responding to the needs of a contemporary customer who is increasingly aware of the environmental impact of their choices, while continuing to value performance, design and quality.

The final presentations showcased a range of original approaches and distinctive visions, all united by a thoughtful reflection on the evolution of the fashion system, responsible innovation and the strategic role that sustainability now plays within both creative and production processes.

Projects such as this are among the defining features of the Master in Fashion Sustainability & Industry Evolution. Through direct collaboration with companies and industry professionals, students have the opportunity to engage with real-world dynamics, developing a design methodology that integrates research, creativity, sustainability and strategic vision.

This experience once again highlights the value of dialogue between academia and industry in building the skills and knowledge required to address the challenges shaping the future of fashion.

Our sincere thanks go to the entire Save The Duck team for this highly immersive experience and for the support, guidance and expertise shared with our students throughout the project.
