SANTONI
Special Project: DESIGNING TOMORROW SNEAKER
Project Leader: Luigi Mulas
Third Year of the Bachelor of Arts in Costume & Fashion a.y. 2021/2022
Special Project in extra didactic in collaboration with SANTONI, Fabrizio Malizia, HR Manager & HR Business Partner and Alessandro Vallasciani, Senior designer.
Santoni was established in 1975 in Corridonia, in the heart of the footwear district of the Marche region, from the insight of Andrea Santoni: to industrialize the artisan process while keeping the quality of the design intact, the search for the best materials and the extreme care of the realization. The original high-end footwear laboratory is, 45 years later, one of the main players in the world market for luxury products.
Sneakers for men/women or rather without gender – sustainable, with sustainable materials and concepts close to the original Santoni design codes.
The project presented a complexity, or rather a wealth of tools, which the designer had to be able to manage and use in the best possible way. The aim of this project was to create a sneaker that could be launched into production within 5 years, translating it into a creative and personal design process and the ability to create new solutions and visions.
The students presented their projects to Fabrizio Malizia, HR Manager & HR Business Partner and Alessandro Vallasciani, Senior designer.
Congratulations guys!
