FURLA
Project: ENVISIONING FURLA
Project Leader: Luigi Mulas Debois
Master in Design degli Accessori a.y. 2022/2023
Furla, one of the most famous Italian brands in the world, is a brand that has strong roots in Made in Italy and a constant attitude to research. Heritage and innovation, tradition and research, technology and creativity, form and function, are the tracks on which the company, since 1927, has traced its huge success.
From these premises starts an ideal laboratory that brings together young creatives in research aimed at outlining the transformations of Furla accessories, imagining new materials and functions, new ways of use and forms, carrying the deepest codes of the Brand in a reality projected into the future, a near future perhaps. The challenge of this project is precisely to propose a visionary approach.
This project has allowed students to discover different skills: the ability to research and explore their local roots through a vision, however, always aimed at the future.
Understanding the brand’s DNA was necessary to propose a valid reinterpretation in a context creatively free from restrictions. An important and visionary exercise that allows you to investigate and intercept new needs and consequently new aesthetic criteria.
Primary and secondary investigation and experimentation are aimed at building a project
professional to generate a Capsule Collection of bags.
Thank you to Manola Antonelli– Furla Senior Designer and ACM Alumna – and to all the Furla’s Team!
