FENDI INDUSTRY PROJECT

In a burst of creativity and artisanal mastery, the students of the Master in Accessories Design presented their Industry Project in collaboration with Fendi. This partnership allowed the students to immerse themselves in the world of contemporary luxury, drawing inspiration from Fendi’s illustrious history to create a capsule collection of women’s accessories that reinterpret the brand’s heritage through a modern and innovative lens.

Fendi, renowned for its ability to blend tradition and innovation, invited the students to explore and understand the brand’s DNA, with particular attention to the “selleria” stitch. This stitch, a symbol of artisanal excellence and history, was the project’s guiding thread. The students studied its evolution and historical significance, using it as the foundation for their creations, which reflect a continuous dialogue between past and future.

The project saw the participation of key Fendi figures, including Cristina Puddu, Head Designer MTO & Couture LG, Laura Palazzolo, Women’s Shoe Manager, and Beatrice Bonato, LG Merchandiser & Product Manager. Their guidance and valuable advice enriched the students’ experience, allowing them to gain a deep understanding of the dynamics and challenges of the luxury world.

The final presentation revealed a collection of accessories that not only respect and celebrate Fendi’s heritage but also reinterpret it in a contemporary key, proposing new visions and possibilities for the future. Each piece of the capsule collection represents a perfect union between tradition and modernity, demonstrating the students’ ability to draw from the past to innovate.

This project not only offered students the opportunity to work with one of the most prestigious brands in the world but also emphasized the importance of understanding and valuing historical roots to transform them into contemporary creations.
