Made in Italy, with strong roots anchored in the world, these elements are the key to interpreting the enormous success of one of the most celebrated and authentic brands in fashion.

Industry Brief

The Hand in Hand project was born from a long history, that of the baguette designed in 1997 by Silvia Venturini Fendi and, since then, an iconic element of Fendi brand and the ideal “canvas” on which to transfer the country’s artisan know-how.

The students had the opportunity to participate in a project with one of the most important brands in the world. They were invited to understand the roots and objectives of the Brand both in the definition of new Hand in Hand baguettes and in the design of a capsule collection and they had the pleasure of visiting the Rome headquarters and archive, the production centers dedicated to leather goods in Florence and that of footwear in Porto San Giorgio.
The goal of this project was to build a research and development laboratory which, by analyzing the brand’s identity and codes and to interpret them through a personal and unexpected lens. Primary and secondary investigation and experimentation, they are aimed at building a professional work that has placed the emphasis on the construction of new forms, materials and processes related to the production of a capsule collection of bags and footwear.

Congratulations students for the wonderful work done and special thanks to Marija Medigovic: Material & Workmanship Expert; Daniel Rueda Sandoval, Senior LG Designer; Gloria Carcangiu, Senior Womens & Kids Shoes Designer; Francesco Maria Longo, Senior Womanswear Shoes Designer, who supported the work during the project.

After this industry project, our student Joaquin Marco Oteros was selected for an extracurricular internship with the brand.
