Another exciting Industry Project has been successfully completed by our students from the Master’s in Fashion Sustainability & Industry Evolution! In this venture, the class took on a challenge with Project Officina Creativa, a company specializing in the production of high-end denim and sportswear clothing, offering a unique, efficient, and precise service with a cohesive and dynamic team.
Under the guidance of Veronica Ambrosetti, a lecturer and Responsible for Fashion Sustainability Projects at Fashion World Right Consultancy, the students aimed to support Project in analyzing one of the most impactful phases in the production of DENIM garments. They began by examining the traditional garment production process, comparing it with the new method called the “Laundry of the Future” project, and evaluating the parameters studied by the company. Subsequently, they integrated this analysis with additional parameters that could become relevant to the project and potentially motivate Project Officina Creativa’s customers to make more sustainable choices for their garments.
DISCOVER THE MASTER
The project unfolded in two phases:
Understanding the company’s reality: Students explored the structure and sustainability practices of the company, visiting Project’s headquarters, the industrial laundry Intex, and the R&D department of Tonello. This phase was crucial to enrich the available information.
Research: Each student developed a strategic solution to support the company in analyzing the laundry of the future, with a focus on sustainability. This research involved an analysis of the current state, with concrete, innovative solutions supported by data. The research included an assessment of feasibility within the company’s context and the identification of critical points. Furthermore, criteria were proposed to analyze the production process in terms of its environmental and social impact.
Project Officina Creativa is a company based in Malo (Vicenza) that produces high-end denim and sportswear clothing. The strength of this company lies in its people and their ability to imagine, reinvent, and shape the future of fashion. Project is a visionary environment that combines offices, modeling, prototyping, production, showrooms, a historical archive, an academy, and events in a unique space, inspiring individuals to find creative and innovative solutions. Sustainability is central to Project, focusing on creating value with the customer at its core, the well-being of people, environmental protection, stakeholder relationships, and the enhancement of the local area. Project is now part of Holding Moda, an industrial group aiming to bring together Italian companies of excellence in the fashion sector to ensure sustainability and promote growth through synergies between companies.
