“Since 2015, the year of its foundation, Chirale has been offering services and products for the innovation of production processes in industry, art, and craftsmanship, accompanying territorial systems towards the transformation necessary to face the challenges of the 21st century. Open-Source Culture, Electronic Prototyping, Digital & Personal Fabrication, 3D Printing, Internet of Thing, Artificial Intelligence and Industry 4.0 are just some of the topics covered by our offer. Chirale offers education, consultancy, planning and prototyping services for the development of new products and services in the High-Tech, Fashion, Art, and Design sectors.”.

Brief

Students were asked to work with technologies and biomaterials in an innovative experimentation that was the center of this project to form a greater awareness of the increasingly relevant approaches to the subject.

The students were confronted with different aspects related to the different techniques:

• ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING
• CUTTING AND ENGRAVING MACHINE
• SMART MATERIAL (thermochromic, hydro chromic, photochromic)
• BIOMATERIAL (culture, cooking and dyeing)

Each student was invited to submit:

• Sketchbook, complete with iconographic research aimed at summarizing and presenting the project concept, sketches, and elaborations on the material.
• The selection of materials and color chart (existing).
• Study of at least 6 proposals including processing and experimentation.
• Final Project complete in all its parts, Mood, Color Chart, Development of at least 25 illustrated tables with relative layouts.
