LORO PIANA KNIT DESIGN AWARD | MASTER IN CREATIVE KNITWEAR DESIGN

Accademia Costume & Moda once again confirms its role as an international point of reference in contemporary knitwear design education. We are proud to announce that Lorenzo Pezzotta and Matteo Rossellini, students of the Master in Creative Knitwear Design, were selected among the finalists of the prestigious Loro Piana Knit Design Award 2026.

Now in its tenth edition, the award promoted by Loro Piana celebrates emerging international talents capable of reinterpreting knitwear excellence through experimentation, research, and innovation. The 2026 edition, titled “Knitting Light – Craft on the Evolution of Colour,” invited participants to explore the themes of colour, light, and transformation through the use of the Maison’s finest cashmere yarns.

Being shortlisted among the finalists of such an important international competition represents a significant recognition of the talent, creative vision, and technical expertise developed within the Master in Creative Knitwear Design at Accademia Costume & Moda.

A special thank you goes to the distinguished international jury —Anna Dello Russo, Antonio Mancinelli, Gilles Denis, Kimberly Drew, Pauline Dujancourt e Satoshi Kuwata — for recognising the work of the new generation of designers and supporting creative research in the world of contemporary knitwear.

Congratulations to Lorenzo Pezzotta and Matteo Rossellini on this important achievement, which highlights the excellence and creative vision of our students within the international knitwear design scene.
