Accademia Costume & Moda, since 1969, award every year the prestigious Irene Brin Prize to an alumni of merit.
A recognition that this edition sees as protagonist Daria Reina, co-founder of the CHEZ DEDE. The prize is handed by Simonetta Gianfelici, Talent Scout and Fashion Consultant, among the first to believe and recognize the talent of Daria, an eclectic and volcanic personality.
Daria Reina is a cool hunter and photographer who has been working as a creative director, designer and communications consultant for the luxury industry for more than 20 years.
Together with Andrea Ferolla, is the founder of CHEZ DEDE, a brand of exclusive collections of accessories, clothing, home decorations and jewelry that flank small éditions de charme as well as boasting collaborations with luxury brands and hotels all over the world.
Curator of art and content for luxury hotels, she loves to conceive and give life to projects to share and transmit her sense of art, beauty and style in every possible way. She is the author, with Andrea, of the book Italian Chic published by Assouline and permanent collaborator of Yolo Journal as editor since 2019. Her photos have been published in international travel magazines and many Assouline books. Her favorite places in the world are basically theaters and museums, because they collect the highest percentage of poetry that humans have been able to create.
The Prize, which in the past was awarded to former ACM students such as Frida Giannini, Maurizio Galante, Marco Mastroianni, Alessandro Michele, Antonio Mancinelli etc, this year is virtually awarded on a significant date: May 31 is the Irene Brin’s death anniversary, who passed away 52 years ago, in 1969.
In the video, also the contribution of David Downton, British fashion illustrator famous for his works for magazines such as Vogue, V Magazine, Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, The Times, The New York Times, Telegraph Magazine and Vanity Fair.

I am even more excited, since it is the first prize that is awarded, after the death of President Fiamma Lanzara who has contributed so much to make today ACM one of the best training places in the world in the field of fashion and entertainment with its historic headquarters in Rome and starting this year with the new Milan campus.”
