During Pitti Immagine Filati 95, the Master’s Degree in Creative Knitwear Design at Accademia Costume & Moda (ACM) and Modateca Deanna renewed its collaboration with the Fondazione Pitti Immagine Discoverythrough a special fashion show. The event, held on June 25, 2024, at the Sala della Ronda in Fortezza da Basso, Florence, highlighted the talent of young designers and the excellence of the Italian knitwear industry.
Twelve Master’s students presented their Final Capsule Collections, the result of collaborations with knitwear manufacturers and workshops representing the excellence of Made in Italy. This annual event demonstrates the commitment of ACM and Modateca Deanna to promoting young talent and the Italian artisanal heritage.
The students who presented their capsule collections are: Miriam Bork, Costanza Brunelli, Domitilla Damiani, Manuel Fidalgo Salgado, Cecilia Franchitti, Amanda Franzoni, Mia Skjaeret Hanssen, Marina Mendes, Linda Muffatti, Sakshi Oruganti, Rahul Pujar, Francesca Sargenti.
This year, the fashion show also featured the winners of the Industry Projects, created in collaboration with Antonio Marras, Blumarine, and Max Mara Fashion Group. These special projects allowed selected students to develop capsule collections in line with the briefs received from the Maison.
ANTONIO MARRAS
Twelve original looks with a strong upcycling connotation, starting from a vintage wedding dress to create highly evocative artifacts.
BLUMARINE
Student Marina Mendes reinterpreted the brand’s heritage with a contemporary and unconventional approach.
MAX MARA
Costanza Brunelli explored the brand’s codes, developing experimental knitwear through an in-depth analysis of Max Mara’s history and identity.
