Factory Tour | Fendi Accessories Industry Project

A unique opportunity for our Master in Accessories Design students, who embarked on an extraordinary journey to the heart of Italian fashion excellence.

Their destination was Fendi‘s leather goods manufacturing hub located in Capannuccia, Tuscany.

This visit, part of the Industry project in collaboration with the Maison, provided our students an exclusive peek into the inner workings of one of the world’s foremost fashion houses. Led by Caterina Sottani, LG & Accessories Plant HR Specialist, and Carlotta Giannoni, GS Supervisor LG reporting to WW Industrial Direction, the students were able to learn more about Fendi’s dedication to craftsmanship and mastery.

The tour offered a behind-the-scenes glimpse into the meticulous process behind each Fendi creation. From the selection of premium materials to the intricate techniques employed in leather craftsmanship, every stage of production was disclosed.

However, the experience didn’t end with observation. Our students were invited to engage in a hands-on workshop, under the expert guidance of a Fendi artisan, experimenting with the art of saddle stitching. The highlight of the workshop was the opportunity for each student to craft their very own cardholder, a symbol of their visit into the heart of the saddlery world.
