Brunello Cucinelli has renewed its collaboration with the Master in Creative Knitwear Design through an exciting new Industry Project, offering students the opportunity to engage with the world of Italian high craftsmanship and excellence in knitwear.
To kick off the project, students visited the picturesque village of Solomeo, Umbria, home to the Brunello Cucinelli Brand, immersing themselves in the brand’s philosophy—where craftsmanship, innovation, and humanism come together. During the visit, they exploredthe brand’s headquarters and production facilities, gaining firsthand insight into the meticulous processes and attention to detail that define each creation.
A key moment of the visit was the meeting with Carolina Cucinelli, Vice President and Co-Creative Director of the brand, and Marco Proietti, who introduced the students to the project brief. Their challenge? To develop creative proposals that interpret the identity, values, and aesthetic language of the brand, with a strong focus on sustainability. Through extensive research and experimentation, the students will work on innovative solutions that bridge the gap between traditional craftsmanship and contemporary vision.
This project represents a unique opportunity for students to engage with an industry leader, refine their skills, and gain invaluable hands-on experience.
A special thank you to the Brunello Cucinelli team for welcoming and inspiring ourstudents, making this extraordinary experience possible.
