An inspiring opportunity for exchange and insight for our students from the BA in Fashion Editor, Styling & Communication and BA in Fashion Business: Fashion Product System at our Milan campus.
As part of an in-depth talk exploring the contemporary fashion system, students had the opportunity to meet two professionals from complementary areas of the industry: Valentina De Vita, Group Chief Human Resources & Organisation Officer at MinervaHub; and Simone Bebi, Founder & CEO of The Parlor.
The talk offered a structured and practical overview of the industry, focusing on three key dimensions: the supply chain, the brand ecosystem and the role of the showroom. Through their professional journeys, the speakers shared insights, challenges and opportunities, providing students with a broader and more realistic understanding of today’s fashion landscape.
A particularly powerful takeaway emerged from the discussion: “Stay curious and put yourself out there!” — a clear encouragement for the new generation to experiment, step beyond their comfort zones and actively shape their own paths.
The open dialogue allowed students to gain a deeper understanding not only of potential career paths, but also of the skills required in an increasingly dynamic, interconnected and evolving industry.
Experiences such as this reflect the hands-on approach of Accademia Costume & Moda, where education is consistently supported by strong industry engagement. By combining academic learning with direct interaction with professionals and companies, the Academy prepares students to develop a conscious, up-to-date and forward-looking perspective on the fashion system.
