VERSACE INDUSTRY PROJECT | BA FASHION EDITOR, STYLING & COMMUNICATION

At Accademia Costume & Moda, education is deeply rooted in direct engagement with the industry. The Industry Project with Versace, dedicated to third-year students of the BA in Fashion Communication: Fashion Editor, Styling & Communication, stands as a tangible example of this connection between learning and professional practice.

Students from both the Rome and Milan campuses were invited to work with one of the most daring and visionary names in Italian fashion. It was a unique opportunity to apply their acquired skills and engage with a brand that has consistently challenged conventions and redefined the codes of contemporary

The brief set by the maison encouraged students to reflect on the power of ideas, concepts and strategy in a time overwhelmed by a constant flow of digital content. Two directions were proposed: the creation of an unconventional Versace fashion show, or the development of a groundbreaking collaboration with a brand from outside the fashion industry.

Guided by Programme Leader Marco Meloni and lecturers Francesco Verdinelli and Fabio Corsini, the students approached the project ith commitment and creativity, developing proposals that combined strong visual identity with strategic depth.

This initiative forms part of a broader educational model where real-world experience is a core component, providing students with meaningful opportunities to engage with the realities of the fashion system.

A special thank you to the Versace creative team for embracing the value and vision of a new generation of talent.
