Alessandro Borghi Guest of Honour at the New Rome Campus for “In Accademia Talks”

On Tuesday, 17th June, at the heart of Accademia Costume & Moda’s new Campus in Rome, a truly special edition of “In Accademia Talks” took place. The guest of honour was Alessandro Borghi, the acclaimed Italian actor, who captivated our students in a fascinating conversation about his personal and professional journey into the world of cinema.

Alessandro Borghi shared his passion and offered invaluable advice, encouraging everyone present to always believe in their dreams and aspirations. Throughout the event, he spoke about the challenges of the profession, emphasising the importance of determination, commitment, and the courage to embrace new opportunities.

One of the most memorable moments of the evening was hearing him describe his relationship with the costume departments on the sets where he has worked. Borghi explained how costume plays a vital role in creating a character, and how, for him, fashion is a true form of freedom – a way of expressing one’s identity and, at the same time, a powerful social statement.
