FALCONERI INDUSTRY PROJECT | LAUNCH BRIEF E MID REVISION | MASTER CREATIVE KNITWEAR DESIGN

At Accademia Costume & Moda, we are proud to announce that our talented students from the Master in Creative Knitwear Design have embarked on a remarkable new venture: the Industry Project in collaboration with Falconeri. This exciting partnership marks an important step in their creative and professional journey, blending innovation with tradition in the world of knitwear design.

Falconeri, renowned for its luxurious knitwear and high-quality cashmere, presented the students with a creative brief that pushes the boundaries of both design and practicality. The brief tasks each studentwith developing a collection of menswear and womenswear with a focus on knitwear.

The challenge? To merge creativity with commercial viability, crafting designs that are not onlyaesthetically captivating but also feasible for industrial production.The students were invited to presenttheir work in progress during a Mid Revision, where they had the opportunity to receive feedback from an esteemed panel of industry experts, including: Pierangelo, Head of Style Falconeri, Rinaldo, Menswear Knitwear Designer; Lisett, ACM Alumna and Womenswear Knitwear Designer; Elisa, HR Manager; Giulia, HR Talent Acquisition Specialist.

This project requires each student to create a minimum of 10 outfits, developing a capsulecollection for the upcoming FW 25/26 season. The designs must reflect Falconeri’s core values, with a focus on the purity of fibres, the natural beauty of materials, and a strong emphasis on cashmere. The students are encouraged to explore and experiment with a mix of innovative yarns and traditional fibres, creating a fusion of modernity and craftsmanship.

By utilising a variety of techniques, the students are tasked with creating new designs that stay true to Falconeri’s brand DNA while pushing the boundaries of contemporary knitwear fashion”Each studentenjoys full creative autonomy in crafting their collection’s mood, storytelling, and colour palette. They are encouraged to explore diverse shapes, fits, stitches, and treatments, all while aligning theirdesigns with the fashion trends predicted for FW 25/26. The end result will be a series of contemporary looks where knitwear plays a central role in the overall styling, providing versatilityand innovation across both menswear and womenswear designs.
