Industry Project | Luigi Verga Como

Our Master in Alta Moda, Fashion Design students are currently immersed in the work in progress of the Industry Project in collaboration with Tessitura Stamperia Luigi Verga Como – a prominent name in the Made in Italy fashion supply chain. This project, under the guidance of the Project Leader Albino D’Amato, designer and ACM Alumnus, showcases the fusion of creativity and craftsmanship.

The students, working collectively on this project, are channeling their artistic energies into reimagining Jacquard, infusing it with a metamorphosis inspired by the botanical world. The core focus revolves around two pivotal elements: the exploration of materials and the intricate artistry of Jacquard. This endeavor unlocks a myriad of possibilities within the realm of textiles.

What sets this project apart is not only the technical prowess displayed in manipulating Jacquard but also the development of a compelling narrative. The narrative unfolds from the rich tapestry of the botanical realm, weaving its threads into a captivating story that transcends boundaries, touching upon history, society, art, and design.

As the students delve deeper into the project, each intricate detail becomes a brushstroke on the canvas of fashion innovation. The intersection of traditional craftsmanship with contemporary design principles creates a harmonious blend that promises to redefine the landscape of haute couture.

The anticipation builds as the students embark on the next stages of their creative journey. #StayTuned to witness the evolution of this groundbreaking project, where each stitch tells a story, and each thread intertwines with a rich tapestry of inspiration.
