On October 30, 2023, a momentous event unfolded as the students of the Master in Creative Knitwear Design showcased their final projects before a distinguished panel. This esteemed jury, comprising luminaries from the world of fashion, had the arduous task of handpicking the creations that would grace our forthcoming CKD Fashion Show during Pitti Filati.

The committee was nothing short of extraordinary, with professional such as Giorgia Cantarini, the Senior Fashion and Digital Editor of L’Officiel and a fashion stylist, along with Angelo Flaccavento, a prominent fashion journalist and consultant. L’Officiel, knitwear and jersey design at Miu Miu, Ian Griffiths, the Creative Director at Max Mara, Georgia Keepax, knitwear designer and consultant, Sara Sozzani Maino, the Creative Advisor at Conde Nast Italia, Creative Director of Fondazione Sozzani, and International Brand Ambassador for Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana, Francesca Tacconi, press and special projects supervisor at Pitti Immagine, and our very own Barbara Trebitsch, the Director of Education.
For the students, this marks the commencement of an unparalleled and unprecedented journey. They will have the unique opportunity to collaborate with the most esteemed knitwear manufacturers in the Reggio Emilia district, alongside the industry’s finest knitwear professionals. Their collections will be developed with the invaluable support of Deanna Veroni Ferretti, the founder of Modateca Deanna, an indispensable place for our Master’s program.
