OVERVIEW & OBJECTIVES

The legal area in the fashion sector is of increasing importance, both in the design and in the communication area. Through an intensive series of lectures, different case histories will be explored, the main challenges encountered during the development of a collection or the risks in communication with particular reference to digital. From prints designed for a collection to correct social content, the topic of intellectual property can no longer be separated from proper training for those who work in a global, complex, physical and digital market.

Students and graduates of design and communication in the fashion field who wish to deepen these crucial aspects and to those who have or intend to launch their own business in this sector, to students and recent graduates in law or in other similar faculties who wish to approach this sector.

Beatrice Grifoni

Beatrice Grifoni, born in Florence, lawyer since 2004, in Valentino since 2012. As an in-house lawyer, Beatrice has dealt with every possible legal aspect related to the companies, from corporate matters, M&A, JV, WHS and Retail matters, but speaks to better when she deals with all the legal part inherent to communication projects, events: through her ability to get in touch with her communication and style colleagues, Beatrice was able to understand the languages of fashion and translate them into “legalese”, in order to protect every activity of the company. Today, Beatrice is the head of the intellectual property department and also takes care not only of the legal part of company communication, but also of all intellectual property issues that may be raised by the style office.

Beatrice Grifoni, born in Florence, lawyer since 2004, at Valentino since 2012.
