WEAR YOUR PRIDE CONTEST

In May, all our students of the Undergraduate Courses of the Rome Campus were called to express their vision of pride and freedom through the creation of graphics which were subsequently submitted to a jury which selected two winners.

In the stunning setting of the Caracalla Baths, the Award Ceremony for the “Wear Your Pride” contest took place, organized by the Circolo di Cultura Omosessuale Mario Mieli in partnership with Accademia Costume & Moda. The contest aimed at creating a T-shirt that would represent the values of the LGBTQ+ community. The winners of the prize were Giorgia Nicosia and Arianna Pucci from the 1yr BA Costume & Fashion, who drew inspiration from the aesthetics and themes of “The Ballad of Sexual Dependency.”

Additionally, Nathan Charlie Petrucci, Daniela Piscicchia and Elena Bordoni from the 3yr BA Fashion Editor, Styling and Communication wanted to share their vision of the #Queer world, starting from the symbol of transfeminism—a piercing that punctures an identity-less nipple, up to the icon and symbol of Queer thought, #MarioMieli.

Thank you, Mario Colamarino, (President of Circolo di Cultura Omosessuale Mario Mieli) and Stefano Mastropaolo (Activist of Circolo di Cultura Omosessuale Mario Mieli) for this amazing opportunity and to Marco Meloni (Coordinator of Academic Programs) for following our BA students during this contest.

We are incredibly proud of our students’ work and thrilled to support the LGBTQ+ community.
