Second-year students on Accademia Costume & Moda’s BA in Fashion Editor, Styling & Communicationcollaborated with Casadei on an Industry Project dedicated to product photography and the creation of visual content for social media.
The project involved the second-year class of the First Level Academic Diploma in Fashion Editor, Styling & Communication, led by lecturer and Project Leader Cristiana Rivellino Santella, in the development and production of a series of still-life shoots dedicated to Casadei’s Autumn/Winter 2026/27 collection.
Working on a real-world brief gave students the opportunity to engage directly with the Maison’s identity and aesthetic language, developing photographic content capable of interpreting its codes while building a contemporary and distinctive visual narrative.
The project covered the entire creative process behind product photography: from research and concept development to the creation of a distinctive visual language, through to the shoot, image selection and post-production.
Particular attention was given to translating ideas, values and brand identity into content designed for digital platforms, with a focus on composition, storytelling and editorial consistency.
The shoots featured three styles representative of the Casadei universe: the iconic Cappa Blade sandal, embellished with small tone-on-tone rectangular crystals; the soft leather ankle boot with the signature Blade heel; and the pump with a 12 cm Blade heel in a refined amarena shade, a key colour in the Autumn/Winter 2026/27 collection.
Working with the same products as their starting point, students developed different interpretations, experimenting with perspectives, compositions and individual visual approaches to enhance materials, details and volumes, while creating images consistent with the brand’s positioning and identity.
At the end of the project, Federica Chierici, Sira Ostan and Elisa Carmela Suppa were selected as the winners of the Industry Project for their respective photographic projects.
Working with Casadei enabled the entire class to engage with the timelines, objectives and dynamics of a professional project, translating the skills developed throughout their academic studies into a concrete response to an industry brief.
The Industry Project reflects Accademia Costume & Moda’s approach, integrating direct engagement with companies, Maisons and professionals into the academic experience. This model is built on an ongoing dialogue between design culture, research, making and industry, enabling students to apply their skills in real professional contexts and develop a personal and informed vision of their future within the fashion industry.
