On Monday 26 November, Accademia Costume & Moda inaugurated the 2018/2019 Academic Year by dedicating the evening to Research, Design and experimentation.
In this context, the Irene Brin Prize, established in 1969 by Rosana Pistolese, founder of the Accademia and which every year is given to a former student of the same, is given to Stefano Russo by Corinne Cavallin, Fendi WW Product & Merchandising Director Woman RTW and Fur. The event was a moment to share their professional and personal experience with students and guests, confronting the young Italian excellences of the fashion world, led in the discussion by Cinzia Malvini, Fashion journalist for La7 and Director of BOOK Moda.
Stefano Russo, Creative Eyewear Director Louis Vuitton, Co-Founder Siens Eye Code, with his “three parallel lives”, designer of glasses and jewelry, researcher and artist, was an important testimony for the students of the Academy: “Research creative between the visible and the invisible in perfect balance with the energy of the instant “.
An additional award, in its first edition, is given during the inauguration: the “Rosana Pistolese” Scholarship to Marco Bucchi, a 25-year-old boy from the city of Pesaro, attending the second year of the Three-Year Course in Costume & Fashion. His dedication and commitment in all the exams, which he has so far passed with excellent marks, have allowed him to stand out among the other students, winning this important win.
The event continued with a conversation on the topic of research, art and experimentation. They joined the conversation on “” Creative research between the visible and the invisible in perfect balance with the energy of the moment “led by Paolo Ferrarini (Researcher, teacher and content curator), which was attended by Andrea Incontri (Men’s Creative Director Tod’s and Founder of the brand Andrea Incontri) and Marco Rambaldi (Co Owner of the brand of the same name).
This occasion was also a scenario for the presentation of the three-year and Master’s didactic offer, and the entry into the Academy of Barbara Trebitsch, the new Director of the Academic Programs, as well as thanks to the partners.
