On11 November 2024, a remarkable journey came to an end: thefinal presentations of the Master in Accessories Design at Accademia Costume & Moda marked the culmination of a year of intense, creative, and deeply formative work for our students. This day was not just a moment of assessment but also an opportunity to celebrate the dedication, growth, and incredible skills gained by each participant during a programme that combined academic training with direct collaboration with some of the most prestigious names in the fashion and design industries.
The Master in Accessories Design stands out for its ability to combine a rigorous academic approach with a unique practical experience, made possible thanks to the support of iconic maisons and companies from Italy’s manufacturing and leatherworking districts. Over the past year, our students had the honour and privilege of collaborating with leading names such as Ferragamo, Rodo, Santoni, and Fendi. These partnerships offered an invaluable opportunity to explore the beating heart of Made in Italy, learn from master artisans, and discover how tradition and innovation come together to create luxury accessories admired worldwide.
The projects presented during the final presentations provided an in-depth look into each participant’s creative universe. Every student proposed a unique project, a true testament to their artistic identity and design language. These creations were not merely stylistic exercises but authentic visual narratives that conveyed stories, emotions, and values, the result of a year of exploration, study, and experimentation.
The final event was designed as an immersive experience, where attention to detail, material quality, and functionality merged seamlessly with aesthetic research and innovative design. From travel accessories to unique footwear, luxury bags to contemporary jewellery, each project demonstrated not only the talent of our students but also their ability to respond to the needs of an ever-evolving market.
A key figure in this journey was the Director of the Accessories Department, Luigi Mulas, whose expertise and visionguided the students through every stage of their path. Mulas skillfully combined technical proficiency with artistic sensibility, creating an environment where every student felt valued and supported. His dedication extended beyond overseeing the final projects, shaping every aspect of the programme to ensure it met the highest standards of the fashion industry.
The final presentations day was filled with emotion, not just for the students but also for the faculty and representatives from partner companies. Each project was delivered with professionalism and passion, showcasing the exceptional level achieved by these young designers.
For our students, this day represented the end of a journey, but also the beginning of a new adventure. Armed with their acquired skills and the relationships forged during the programme, we are confident that each of them will go on to make their mark in the world of accessories design.
We wish all our students the very best for the future. May you continue to explore, create, and innovate, always carrying with you the invaluable experience of this journey. The world of accessories design awaits you, and we are certain you will conquer it.
