Our Master in Creative Knitwear Design students have recently embarked on an exciting new Industry Project in collaboration with Falconeri, a brand internationally recognised for its excellence in cashmere and refined knitwear.
The project, titled “Morbida geometria. Equilibrio. Costruzione silenziosa.”, is led by Project Leader Gigi Vezzola and invites students to explore the expressive and architectural potential of knitwear by developing a capsule collection for both menswear and womenswear for the Autumn/Winter 2026–27 season.
The Industry Project began with a visit to Falconeri’s headquarters in Avio, located in the Trentino–Alto Adige region, where students were introduced to the brand’s values, identity, and approach. The brief challenges them to design a 10-look collection made entirely from knitwear—without the use of traditional fabric—highlighting the brand’s signature craftsmanship and aesthetic.
The focus of the project is to explore the tactile and structural power of cashmere, creating garments that express geometry, balance, and silent construction, all while remaining true to Falconeri’s DNA.
A few weeks after the launch, students took part in a Mid Revision, where they presented their initial concepts and received feedback aimed at further refining their ideas and creative direction.
We extend our sincere thanks to the Falconeri team for this valuable opportunity, which represents a significant step in our students’ professional and creative development.
