On the occasion of Pitti Immagine Filati 86, on January 22, 2020 at 18.00, at the Fortezza da Basso in the spaces of the Sala della Ronda, the personal collections of the eight international students of the First Level Master in “Knitwear, Creative Knitwear Design” paraded CKD Master) of the Costume & Fashion Academy of Rome. The project, now in its third edition, aims to bring out the talent of young designers and the excellence of knitwear, and is promoted and organized by the Pitti Immagine Discovery Foundation together with the Accademia Costume & Moda, Modateca Deanna and Max Mara Fashion Group: a moment fundamental dialogue between the best companies in the sector present at the show, the buyers and representatives of the style offices of the most prestigious fashion houses, the press and of course the young international creatives.

During the fashion show-event, the international students of the CKD Master will have the opportunity to show their personal collections, made with the best selection of yarns from knitwear and spinning partners exhibitors at Pitti Filati 86. With the aim of designing increasingly sustainable collections, CKD Master students have selected natural raw materials for their final work, making sure to work only with certified companies, including Enka, Filpucci, Linea Più, Zegna Baruffa Lane Borgosesia, Tollegno 1900, Cariaggi Lanificio.

On the catwalk at Pitti Filati, also the winners of the Industry Projects: the contests that started at the beginning of the academic year, for which the Diesel Brave Kid, Roberto Collina, Max Mara Fashion Group, Missoni and K-Way companies each presented at students a creative brief to design a special capsule collection.

The eight students of CKD Master have made eight outfits, using the yarns of Zegna Baruffa Lane Borgosesia and Filpucci, in collaboration with the knitwear partners and STOLL:
Artemaglia Fashion and SAT Knitting Machine (Ana Karen Garza), Reginato Maglia (Laura Galati), Maglificio Loredana (Monica Gesualdo), Metaphor Italy (Lynn Sungurtekin), Paima (Namrata Surana), SMT (Silviana Neamu), Della Rovere (Chen Jui Yang), Kn-hit (Valeria Fortini).
