Over the past few weeks, we have had the pleasure of welcoming students from the Master’s in Law and Court Practice + Luxury and Fashion Industry at Centro de Estudios Garrigues to our Rome campus, located in the heart of the Esquilino district, for the international «Fashion, Law & Industry» programme.
Designed as an immersive and multidisciplinary experience, the programme offered participants the opportunity to explore the connections between fashion, law, management and contemporary culture through a combination of academic sessions, corporate visits and cultural experiences.
The initiative was conceived to provide students with a broad and up-to-date understanding of the dynamics shaping today’s fashion and luxury industries, increasingly influenced by key themes such as technological innovation, sustainability, intellectual property protection, retail transformation and new communication strategies.
Throughout the programme, students attended lectures, professional seminars and discussions with industry experts, gaining valuable insights into the challenges and opportunities faced by brands, institutions and businesses operating within an ever-evolving global landscape.
Alongside the academic activities, the corporate visits represented a unique opportunity to engage directly with some of the most influential players in the fashion and luxury sectors. These visits enabled students to gain first-hand insight into organisational structures, business strategies and creative processes that contribute to the development and positioning of contemporary brands.
The programme also included a series of cultural visits designed to highlight the historical, artistic and cultural heritage of Rome. These experiences offered international students a deeper understanding of the Italian context and of the vital role that culture, craftsmanship and tradition continue to play in the development of the country’s creative industries.
Among the organisations involved in the programme were Maison Valentino, PM23, Hermès, Fendi and LCA Studio Legale, whose contributions enriched the learning experience through professional talks, company visits and valuable industry insights.
Fashion, Law & Industry once again proved to be a meaningful platform for international and interdisciplinary exchange, bringing together academia, industry and culture while equipping future professionals with the knowledge, awareness and critical perspective needed to navigate the evolving landscape of the fashion and luxury sectors.
Our sincere thanks go to Centro de Estudios Garrigues for their collaboration, and to all the partners whose commitment and expertise contributed to making this educational experience possible.
