Accessories Junior Designer @Givenchy
YOU FINISHED YOUR EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCE IN ACCADEMIA TWO YEARS AGO. HOW WAS THE IMPACT WITH THE WORKPLACE?
After Accademia, you really want to enter the world of work, but with the fear that you will not be ready. You ask yourself: “Who will need my help and will be willing to pay me for it?”.
Right from the start I realized that Accademia has made a difference for me; to be able to do almost everything in the best way: this is what makes this school unique.
Thanks to Accademia my professional experience began with an internship at Salvatore Ferragamo immediately after the end of my training.
WHAT ARE THE MOST IMPORTANT EXPERIENCES AND SKILLS YOU HAVE BROUGHT WITH YOU FROM THE BA IN COSTUME & FASHION AT WORK?
It’s not necessary to be the best at everything, just show curiosity and desire to learn, this shows people if you really want to work or not.
Without forgetting, then, the incredible experience of the LVMH Prize, in which I was among the winners of the “LVMH Graduate Prize” which allowed me to join Givenchy.
WHAT IS YOUR PROFESSION TODAY?
I am currently Accessories Junior Designer at Givenchy, an extremely stimulating Maison that offers you daily challenges that allow you to improve yourself from many points of view. I also had luck because I could live inside the change of creative direction, which has enriched me so much.
It made me understand how much a job can transform itself and how much the people within it must know how to reinvent themselves and immediately understand the new priorities.
HOW DO YOU IMAGINE YOUR CAREER IN 5 YEARS? WHAT ARE YOUR MEDIUM AND LONG-TERM GOALS?
In my near future I hope to have more and more responsibilities that allow me to be a designer with more independence. In a longer-term project I would like to have the opportunity to manage a larger team by giving my artistic/creative point of view in the women’s and men’s Accessories Department.
