Rome, 5 OCTOBER 2026 – Accademia Costume & Moda and Brioni confirm their partnership for the third consecutive year for the Academic Master in Menswear Design, a programme dedicated to contemporary menswear design that combines culture, research, experimentation and technical expertise through direct and ongoing dialogue with the industry.
For the 2026/27 academic year, Brioni is further strengthening its commitment to supporting new generations by offering four scholarships to talented students who choose to specialise in menswear. This tangible support complements the academic partnership and reflects the Maison’s commitment to investing in the growth of tomorrow’s professionals, facilitating access to the expertise, design culture and savoir-faire that are essential to the future of the sector.
The partnership between Accademia Costume & Moda and Brioni is embedded directly within the structure of the Master. The one-year, full-time programme is delivered in Rome, and guides students through 1,500 hours of lessons, workshops, design development, independent study, complementary activities and an internship, connecting the culture of menswear with the transformations reshaping the contemporary fashion landscape.
From the history of menswear and uniforms to design, from research into fabrics and materials to digital technologies and applications, through to art direction, visual culture and professional development, the Master approaches menswear as a complex design territory in which creativity and technical expertise advance hand in hand.

A distinctive part of the programme also takes place in Penne, Abruzzo, in Brioni’s ateliers, where students come into direct contact with one of Italy’s most important tailoring traditions. Here, pattern cutting and an understanding of garment construction are explored in depth within a real production environment, through direct engagement with the expertise and processes that form part of the Maison’s heritage.
The experience enables students to approach tailoring not simply as an aesthetic language, but as a system of knowledge: proportions, construction, materials, technical precision and craftsmanship become tools through which to develop a personal vision of contemporary menswear.
The confirmation of the four scholarships offered by Brioni further strengthens a partnership that, alongside the sharing of expertise, places talent and the opportunity to support its development in concrete terms at its core.
An investment in the professionals of the future that reflects a shared objective of Brioni and Accademia Costume & Moda: to create the conditions for a new generation of designers to acquire not only the tools needed to enter the industry, but also a deep understanding of product, craft and culture, enabling them to contribute to its evolution.
The First-Level Academic Master in Menswear Design, starting in November 2026, is delivered primarily in Rome at Accademia Costume & Moda and includes training activities at Brioni in Penne. Taught in Italian and English, the programme awards 60 CFA credits.

For the 2026/27 academic year, engagement with industry is expanding further through the Industry Projects developed with Brioni, Moncler and many others.
Real briefs, reviews with brand professionals and final presentations will enable students to engage with different methodologies, identities and design approaches, working within dynamics that closely reflect those involved in developing a collection within international fashion companies.
Industry Projects are one of the central elements of Accademia Costume & Moda’s educational model: rather than simple exercises, they are opportunities in which individual research, creativity and technical expertise are tested against the requirements, timelines and processes of professional practice.
The presence of Brioni and Moncler within the same academic year will therefore give students the opportunity to engage with different interpretations of product and contemporary menswear, broadening their understanding of the industry and helping them to build their own design identity.
