The Foundation Course is thought as a preparatory course to the Bachelor of Arts courses in Costume & Fashion, Fashion Editor, Styling & Communication, Fashion Design Management with the aim of bridging the gap to access the Italian academic world.
By providing a basic solid preparation in the studies related to Design, Fashion, Costume for entertainment and Fashion Communication and Management, the Foundation Course allows students to develop their creativity, design and research competences in order to begin their Bachelor of Arts course of choice with much more awareness and preparation.
The participation and the successful fulfillment of the course will guarantee the direct access to the Bachelor of Arts courses (3- year Undergraduate Courses) of Accademia Costume & Moda.
The study path is made of theoretical and practical classes aimed at providing a cultural introduction to Fashion, Design, Communication and Management in addition to a basic preparation on Fashion Design and Portfolio creation.
International students will have the possibility to include an Italian language module which will help them achieving the linguistic requirements necessary to enrol in Bachelor of Arts courses.
At the end of the Foundation course students will be able to access directly to the Bachelor of Arts courses of Accademia Costume & Moda. Students from countries with eleven years of schooling will be able to count the Foundation Course as a 12th year of education necessary condition to enrol in the italian higher education system.
Students who need to complete and elevate their educational background in order to enrol in Italian Academies
Students with foreign study titles obtained in Educational Systems very different from the Italian one, with particular reference to international students with less than 12 years of schooling
Duration and Attendance
- Classes have an average duration of 3 hours and take place in Accademia Costume & Moda in a regular time slot from 3 to 5 times a week.
- In order to achieve the number of credits needed for the successful completion of the course, students must attend the 80% of the classes.
