Accademia Costume & Moda receives the DOMINAE 2026 Honorary Award dedicated to Rosana Pistolese

On the occasion of the official presentation of DOMINAE – Associazione delle Donne del Made in Italy nel mondo, held at the Historic Library of the Ministero delle Imprese e del Made in Italy, Accademia Costume & Moda received the DOMINAE 2026 Honorary Award – Education and Fashion, dedicated to the memory of Rosana Pistolese, founder of ACM in 1964.

The award was received by our President, Lupo Lanzara, who represented ACM in a highly significant institutional setting during the event “Protagonists of a Changing Italy”. It was a warm and meaningful moment, placing education at the centre as a cultural and strategic driver for the future of the country.

Rather than a purely commemorative gesture, the award was experienced as a living and contemporary recognition: a clear acknowledgement of the role Accademia Costume & Moda continues to play in shaping dialogue between culture, design, industry and educational responsibility. DOMINAE’s decision to associate the award with the figure of Rosana Pistolese speaks directly to the vision that still guides ACM today.

During the same ceremony, other awards were presented, contributing to an atmosphere that was both significant and, for us, deeply personal.

The Award for Enterprise and Innovation was presented to Veronica Crisafulli, an alumna of Accademia Costume & Moda. An unexpected and emotional encounter: receiving an award dedicated to our founder alongside a young professional who had been shaped, in part, by the Academy clearly showed how education leaves lasting traces over time, often in the most unexpected ways.

The Award for Science and Social Commitment was presented to Edwige Pezzulli, while the Award for Digital Communication went to Francesca Bardelli Nonino. Different journeys, united by a strong sense of cultural responsibility and a contemporary approach to enterprise and knowledge.

This recognition further strengthens Accademia Costume & Moda’s positioning as a formative community able to engage with institutions, companies and new generations in a credible and meaningful way.
