Last week, the students of the Master in Alta Moda, Fashion Design had the opportunity to meet Duccio Mazzanti of Mazzanti Piume, a renowned artisan and leading figure in feather craftsmanship for fashion and entertainment.
During the lesson, an engaging discussion unfolded on the importance of striking the right balance between tradition and innovation. Mazzanti shared his vision on how ancient artisanal techniques can evolve without losing their authenticity, remaining an endless source of inspiration for contemporary fashion.
Through an immersive journey into history, creativity, and savoir-faire, students explored the expressive power of feathers, a material capable of transforming a garment into a true work of art. This invaluable meeting highlighted the significance of passing down artisanal knowledge to future generations.
