We are happy to announce that, once again this year, we will be collaborating with Louis Vuitton for the second edition of the Louis Vuitton Accessories Design Graduates Initiative, the competition through which the French Maison seeks the accessory designers of the future and offers a unique opportunity to the five talented winners: the chance to work with the Louis Vuitton leather goods and accessories team.
Kicking off this wonderful project are Baron Osuna, LVADGI & HORIZONS Headquarters Manager for this amazing at Louis Vuitton, and Millie de la Vallette, Head of Creative Talent Acquisition at Louis Vuitton, who generously shared her time and expertise with our 3yr BA students in Costume & Fashion and Master’s students in Accessories Design.
The initiative aims to celebrate the importance of leather accessories for Louis Vuitton and showcase the talent of the new generation of creatives. Louis Vuitton is searching for young talents with visionary ideas in design, craftsmanship, and sustainability, perfectly aligned with the values of ACM, which blends traditional skills with innovative techniques.
Participants in the competition will have the opportunity to present their ideas to the Louis Vuitton team and receive valuable feedback. The final selection process will evaluate their work based on a detailed list of criteria, including the creative process, product design, drawing skills, knowledge of fashion and luxury, coherence, understanding of the Louis Vuitton brand, and proficiency in oral, written, and visual communication.
Candidate pre-selection will continue until February, and the finalists will be invited to Paris in April to meet the Louis Vuitton jury and present their projects.
Stay tuned for more details in the coming months!
