REAL LEATHER. STAY DIFFERENT STUDENTS DESIGN COMPETITION 

Congratulations to Sara Veneziano, alumna of the Master in Accessories Design and the Footwear Category winner in the International Real Leather Stay Different Competition 2023. This competition celebrates the best of leather, emphasizing sustainability, craftsmanship, and style.

Sara claimed this prestigious award with her ‘I (M) P E R F E C T’ Capsule Collection.

 ‘I (M) P E R F E C T’ aims to celebrate imperfections by transforming flawed materials into a unique creation. Inspired by observing discarded leathers in the tannery, Sara developed innovative techniques that reduce water and electricity consumption. These methods elevate defects, giving them greater visibility and significance.

We extend our gratitude to this year’s esteemed panel of judges, including Gal Benjamin, Christopher Koerber, Managing Director of Hugo Boss; Paola Arosio, Head of Brands & Sustainability Projects at Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana; and the renowned celebrity stylist, Mike Adler.
