Talent 2023: a fundamental element in completing the education of our students

Talents 2023 interprets the synthesis of the Bachelor of Arts  in Costume and Fashion and in Fashion Communication: Fashion Editor, Styling & Communication, unique courses that bring out the identity of the students, providing them with individual and cultural awareness, design skills, technical and product expertise, narrative and interpretative skills, experience, and professionalism.

Two key moments of the Talents 2023 event: the Fashion Show with the projects of 15 students of the BA in Costume and Fashion (CeM) who, followed by Santo Costanzo for ready to wear fashion clothing and Luigi Mulas Debois for fashion accessories,  had the opportunity to collaborate with 24 companies of Made in Italy for the creation of the capsule collections of 6 outfits each, and the Editorial Projects of the 6 BA students in Fashion Editor, Styling & Communication (FESC), who, followed by Antonio Mancinelli and Marco Meloni, had the opportunity to create their own magazine, paper and/or digital, and to develop an editorial and communication strategy.

An important achievement, culmination of three years of studies and studio activities, made possible by the vision of BA Costume e Moda, thanks to the extraordinary collaboration with some of the best Italian excellences (wool and silk textile companies, embroiderers, technological and experimental processes, tanneries and shoe factories), creating exclusively for Talents 2023 according to their designs: jacquards in wool, silk, jersey, developments of prints and processes, embroideries, needle-punching, laser cuts and special finishes. A link between companies and students for the presentation of collections that arise from careful research, from experimentation in form, fabrics and materials, from acquired technical and design expertise together with the artisan know-how and refined industrial processes of the companies involved. For the BA FESC, the Talents concludes the process of acquired creative tools for the future communicators, essential for professionals ranging from publishing, photography, graphics design, advertising, and journalistic communication within the fashion world. The students had the opportunity to collaborate with well-known professionals and to develop different forms of expression thar represents their own design identity.
