LUIGI VERGA INDUSTRY PROJECT | MASTER ALTA MODA, FASHION DESIGN

After their visit to the Tessitura Stamperia Luigi Verga headquarters in Como and an intense period of research, our Master in Alta Moda, Fashion Design students returned to meet with Marila Gambini from the Verga team and our alumnus and Project Leader Albino D’Amato to present the final projects developed as part of the Industry Project.

The result of weeks of study, experimentation, and dialogue, the capsulecollections offer a personal and contemporary reinterpretation of jacquard inspired by the botanical world — striking a balance between textile heritage and creative vision.

During the meeting, students had the opportunity to showcase the evolution of their concepts: from the inspirations drawn from Verga’s extraordinary archiveto the concrete development of garments, demonstrating growing design awareness and a refined sensitivity to materials.

It was a valuable moment of exchange and growth: thanks to Marila’s feedback, the students gained insightful guidance to carry forward in their professional journeys, reaffirming the importance of collaboration between education and industry.
